Job Seeking Skills Assessment

For workers who may require alternative employment options, AusMind provides Job Seeking Skills Assessments to explore transferable skills, abilities and realistic employment pathways.

What the assessment may consider

  1. ·  Transferable skills and previous experience
  2. ·  Strengths, abilities and employment interests
  3. ·  Suitable employment or career options
  4. ·  Job-seeking readiness
  5. ·  Potential barriers to employment
  6. ·  Practical steps towards vocational goals

How it helps

Sessions are delivered by qualified counsellors and psychologists who work with you to understand your injury and build practical coping strategies, with the shared goal of getting you back to work and normal life.

Support can be accessed through a referral from your employer, WorkCover Queensland or your treating health provider.

Job Seeking Skills Assessments

For workers whose injury means returning to their previous role isn't possible, AusMind provides Job Seeking Skills Assessments to help identify a realistic path forward.

What's involved:

  • Assessing transferable skills, strengths and experience
  • Identifying suitable alternative roles or industries
  • Reviewing job seeking readiness, including resume and interview skills
  • Highlighting any barriers to employment and how to address them
  • Providing practical recommendations to support the return to work plan
